New approved methods for sampling, measurement and analysis of air, soil and water are now available for EPA licensees, laboratories, consultants, technical and professional associations in New South Wales.

Moss Environmental CEO, Shonelle was please to read over the new methods, saying:
‘It was high time that a review took place. Here at Moss Environmental we are sticklers for ‘best practice’ and ensure that all sampling, analysis, and reporting is completed in accordance with approved guidelines and available Best Management Practices.’

Following the consultation earlier this year, the methods were approved because they are said to reflect best practice and up-to-date scientific methods to ensure better protection for the environment. Sonya Errington EPA Director Environmental Solutions said the new approved methods provide better guidance and easy to use methods, removing unnecessary requirements to seek EPA approval to vary analytical methods.

By approving to use these new methods, the EPA ensures the data used to protect the community from the pollution impacts can be reliable and trusted. For example, ambient air monitoring methods are no longer included in approved methods for air monitoring but will exist on the EPA’s website.
