Visual amenity assessments are required to form part of the EIS or Statement of Environmental Effects for many proposed developments. As a potentially contentious topic with local residents or sensitive recievers, its important to engage a company with a track record in effective, empathetic community consultation to ensure that appropriate and effective communication takes place. We work with our clients to ensure a smooth reporting process takes place. Our clients include renewable energy developments.
Visual Amenity Assessment
A visual amenity impact assessment consists of a series of radial analyses that have been undertaken to assess likely views of a proposed development project.
Radial analyses are developed using 3D topographic information, aerial photographs and electronic data files relating to site infrastructure. The radial analysis illustrates what is visible from a height of 1.7 meters at that location (i.e. from average eye height).
