Visual Amenity Assessment

A visual amenity impact assessment consists of a series of radial analyses that have been undertaken to assess likely views of a proposed development project. Radial analyses are developed using 3D topographic information, aerial photographs and electronic data files relating to site infrastructure. The radial analysis illustrates what is visible from a height of 1.7 meters at that location (i.e. from average eye height).

Visual amenity assessments are required to form part of the EIS or Statement of Environmental Effects for many proposed developments. As a potentially contentious topic with local residents or sensitive recievers, its important to engage a company with a track record in effective, empathetic community consultation to ensure that appropriate and effective communication takes place. We work with our clients to ensure a smooth reporting process takes place. Our clients include renewable energy developments.
