The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is a non-profit, international, member organisation that provides education, resource information and business opportunities for professionals in the erosion and sediment control industry. The Association’s 3000 plus members represent 52 countries and 17 fields of professional practice. Our industry is a relatively young one, but growing quickly and rapidly becoming a significant player in the environmental arena. As the industry is maturing, so too is the Association.
The Australasian Chapter of the IECA (known as IECA (Australasia)) was formed in 1994. Our diverse membership represents a unique network of specialists who can solve a broad range of problems caused by soil erosion and its by-product, sediment pollution.
I was elected as a Director on the Board in mid-2016, for a three-year term. My aim is to ensure that the Association continues to be very active, providing training, networking and other business opportunities our members. I would like to work towards providing a greater number of diverse training and information sessions. Thank you to all the members who voted for me, i am thrilled to be on the Board of Directors. Please don’t hesitate to contact me, should you have any questions or suggestions.
