Biodiversity Assessment Report (BAR)

When planning to construct a project, under Part 5 of the EP&A Act you are required to determine if your proposed development is likely to significantly affect threatened species or ecological communities in accordance with the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. This assessment can only be completed by a qualified ecologist. Our team of qualified ecologists will prepare your BAR efficiently, taking all project requirements into consideration.

Details -

A Biodiversity Assessment Report is required under Section 7.3 of the BC Act, as it provides that development under Part 5 of the EP&A Act requires a Test of Significance for determining whether a proposed development or activity is likely to significantly affect threatened species or ecological communities, or their habitats.
For the purposes of Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, an activity is to be regarded as an activity likely to significantly affect the environment if it is likely to significantly affect threatened species and/or endangered ecological community.
